Britain’s Got Talent Series 17 returns this weekend for another round of auditions. The show has teased one of the upcoming performances, from a choir called Northants Sings Out. Their performance had a surprising twist halfway through that wowed the judges.

Choir Wows the Britain’s Got Talent Judges in Early Release

The choir members in Northants Sings Out started their performance with a rendition of the hymn “It Is Well with My Soul.” That was impressive enough, but they went on to surprise everyone by transitioning into another song.

The rest of the choir’s audition featured their cover of “Show Me Love” by Robin S. and Sandeville. The performance had the judges dancing along, and hosts Ant and Dec cheered them on from backstage. One of the choir members delivered an amazing solo performance, backed up by the other singers.

Commenters on YouTube shared their praise for the audition, with one fan writing, “Anyone else get goosebumps up and down their arms? Whoa!” Another commented, “Wonderful performance! I loved every second of this!”

Musician Performs with Simon Cowell’s Dog

BGT also shared another early release clip featuring musician Kevon Carter. The youth pastor delivered a funny audition in which he performed musical duets on the keyboard with different animal videos. That included a lamb, a donkey, and a pug dog.

The most surprising moment of the audition came when a video of Simon Cowell’s dog Squiddly appeared on the screen. The judge got a kick out of the unexpected moment, as he could be seen laughing along to the silly performance.

Britain’s Got Talent Series 17 returns Saturday night. Episodes are available to watch in the UK on ITV1, ITVX, and STV. The competition is still in the audition stage after a two-night premiere last weekend.
