American Idol Season 20 runner-up HunterGirl had a reason to celebrate over the weekend, as her song “Hurry Up Christmas” was featured in a Hallmark holiday movie. And it won’t be the last time you hear her this season.

HunterGirl’s Christmas Song in Hallmark Movie

Over the weekend, HunterGirl took to Instagram to share her excitement over hearing her song “Hurry Up Christmas” in the new Hallmark movie Christmas Island. She shared a video of herself singing along to the clip from the movie.

“I’m so excited that my song is in a Hallmark movie. Is that not crazy?” HunterGirl said when announcing the news. “I’ve been watching Hallmark since I was a kid, and it’s a full-circle moment getting to be on the big screen.”

On “Hurry Up Christmas” (which is available to stream now), the singer admits, “I got Christmas on my mind, and I can’t wait another day.” Later in the song, she sings, “Holly jolly’s how I feel, so close it’s almost real.”

“Hurry Up Christmas” isn’t the only Christmas song by HunterGirl to be featured in a Hallmark movie this holiday season. According to a press release, her song “Christmas Again” can be heard in Haul Out The Holly: Lit Up, premiering November 25.

While “Hurry Up Christmas” has an upbeat vibe that makes you want to dance, “Christmas Again” is a slower ballad, in which HunterGirl sings that she’s “falling like snow on the ground,” adding, “That mistletoe’s looking like we’re more than friends.”

HunterGirl has a lot lined up for the holiday season, as she’s scheduled to perform at the Christmas Parade in Raleigh, North Carolina, on November 18. Then on November 20, she’ll take the stage at the Christmas 4 Kids Benefit Concert at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

The singer will also be in her hometown of Winchester, Tennessee, for the Christmas Tree Lighting on November 24.
