UniCircle Flow is a unicycle dance group that travelled all the way from Japan for their audition. They quickly dropped the jaws of the America’s Got Talent judges with their unique act. It’s hard enough to ride a bike, let alone a unicycle in dance format.

The description for this historical Japanese act is “land figure skating.” This group strives to gain recognition of unicycle dance performance and its athletes. Kenichi Ebina began UniCircle Flow and chose top-level performers in Japan. The people in this group are champions and finalists in national competitions.

This unicycle group took to the AGT stage for the first time on June 8 and I’m still trying to figure out how they do their act. I seriously have no idea how they are able to stay so balanced while dancing on their unicycles.

Meet UniCircle Flow’s Leader Kazuhiro Shimoyama

According to UniCircle Flow’s management website, they are lead by Kazuhiro Shimoyama. He is a two time world champion unicyclist, former unicycle acting world champion, and has 30 years of unicycle experience.

Shimoyama joins the group through leading at the forefront, participating as a coach, and acting as a choreographer. Although their original audition only had four people, there are actually 12 people normally in the group.

He shared a photo of the group to his Instagram on August 6. This photo was from their last rehearsal in Japan before heading to the U.S. for the live shows.

On a seperate post shared on the group founder’s page, we now know that all of UniCircle Flow is in America for the live shows, and it doesn’t seem like Shimoyama is joining the group.

How Long Has This Group Been Together?

Before auditioning for AGT, UniCircle Flow did mostly local performances. They have 1,400 subscribers on YouTube, but they are represented by Lin Quest Inc. Even though it may not seem like they have a large following, each individual member has their own, personal successes that they bring to the group. Some of the members have even worked around the world in Cirque du Soleil.

Their Facebook page has been around since April 14 2021, and their Instagram has been around since April 26. Since both of these social media accounts are so new, it’s possible the group is either extremely new, or is just new to social media. Regardless, I think they’ll be gaining plenty of followers after their performance on Tuesday night.
